  i really don't like people disparaging active jws on this site by calling them stupid, idiots, morons and that, and making out like they're willing puppets to the gb or cruel at heart.

  or describing them like they're puke or as having no desire to learn or listen.. to you, all these things may be true.

  we all have opinions and are entitled to them.

  Blood transfusion and eating pork

  just trying to gather info as a reasoning point to donate blood or get a transfusion.

  why can witnesses have some blood parts, if they stuck to the belief of what the scrip says, never said anything about parts!??

  and why can they eat pork, of it's health concern was that the pig is dirty.

  How I recently handled JWs at my door

  the jws stopped by my house a couple weeks ago on a saturday morning.

  i knew that with others most likely waiting for them out in the car they probably did not then have much time to engage in any serious conversation.

  so i let them talk while i feigned interest in what they had to say.

  don't get me wrong, the moon is great and the sun is too, and the earth is just wonderful. life is the greatest thing i ever experienced - and often it's pretty shitty as well. still, i don't know how an approximate 400 proves that jesus is god.

  seriously, we're here to discuss stuff. stay around, i think you need it. i'll even say sorry for calling you a taliban (but my master, satan told me to write that).

  What were Albert Einstien's Religious Beliefs?

  this was covered a little on another thread and interested me.

  i have always been convinced einstien believed in god.

  i assumed what i had learned was correct and never thought i was taught something wrong.. i have seen some points posters have made.

  given that einstein believing in some kind of (not so) supernatural power is mostly quoted by believers in a PERSONAL god, the emphasis on PERSONAl does make sense though.

  anyway, i'm in the "what does it matter" camp too.
